If you are looking to get some rubbish shifted quickly then you might think that a man and van service is what you are looking for. Whilst this might be true consider for just a few minutes how much quicker and more efficient it would be with two or three men coming to your aid in a van. At JS Removals we’ve got just that, 2+ men in a van. When we pick up rubbish from a customer there is a minimum crew of two, which means a faster end to your rubbish woes.
What are the benefits of using us instead of a regular Man and Van setup? Well apart from the obvious 4 hands are better than 2 there are the legalities to consider. These days it is too easy to fall into the trap of taking on unscrupulous people who will do anything for a quick buck but end up getting you in trouble. It is fairly easy for anyone to set themselves up as a Man with a Van, however they also need a waste carrier license and should hold suitable public liability insurance before offering to take your rubbish away for disposal. There’s often also a cost involved at the disposal centre. These additional costs are often bypassed by dodgy people offering you a service cheaply.
How do you get into trouble, you might ask? These unlicensed individuals are more likely to simply fly tip your rubbish rather than incur the costs involved of disposing of it responsibly. Sadly, if the fly tipped rubbish is traced back to you then it will be you that receives a hefty fine.
To avoid the prospect of your rubbish landing you in hot water you need to make sure that your Man and Van has a waste carrier license which can be checked on the Environmental Agency website – we do! We are also fully covered by public liability insurance which means you (and your rubbish) are in safe hands.
As proof that all the waste we dispose of is done responsibly we will hold a copy of the waste transfer notice in respect of your job, this you can see simply by request if needs be.
Some other benefits of using our team over traditional Man and Van services is we give you a quote based on what you want moving, rather than by the hour, so you know at the outset how much the job will be, and you won’t pay until the job is finished to your satisfaction. We also don’t generally charge extra for rubbish disposal unless there is a specific additional charge due to the sensitive nature of what you are disposing of. For instance, fridges and freezers. Our vans have a large capacity in both size and weight as well as come equipped with a tail lift, so no job is too big to handle.
So, the next time your thoughts turn to needing a man and van to remove some rubbish, why not give JS Removals a call. Send us photos of what you want disposing of and we’ll give you a quote along with our next available slot which can be within hours or next day, subject to availability.
