Working with Estate Agents

Buying or selling your home is known for being one of the most stressful times in your life so getting a helping hand or two can help you to keep those stress levels down, when you need it most.

We work closely with local estate agents in several ways, and all geared to finding a route to ensure that we take as much of the strain out of moving or selling family properties as we can.

Selling through Bereavement

Local estate agents will often call on us for our house clearing services. This is especially the case after a bereavement.

The last thing you’ll want to be doing is rolling up your sleeves and getting rid of all the unwanted stuff that has been left behind. Often the family are far away, making it difficult to deal with all the organisation from a distance.

If you are in this situation, it makes sense to put the management of the sale completely in the hands of the estate agents who will call on us to get the house cleared so that it can go on the market as quickly as possible.

I think this is something we’ll all have dealt with at one time or another, selling the former home of a family member after they have passed away.

Nobody can relieve the sheer trauma and distress of such circumstances but, we can very sensitively and diplomatically, make sure that we clear all the remaining belongings left in the family home that you and your family feel you have no use for.

Removing Dangerous Materials from Properties Prior to Sale

Another of our popular services where we work in tandem with estate agents is Asbestos removal. The last thing you’ll want to encounter whilst buying or selling a property is to find that it contains asbestos within the structure of it.

Sadly, this can happen because the legal property surveys that are required during a house sale can raise attention to materials that are found or known to contain asbestos that had remained hidden for decades.  This can have a significant impact on the price of the property with buyers often adjusting their offer to offset the cost of dealing with the removal or containment of the offending materials.

From the estate agents’ point of view, having a local company they can turn to, who they know they can trust and are experienced and proficient at dealing with asbestos, its removal and safe disposal, including any other hazardous materials, can make or break a deal.
